rzekła bohaterka całego zamieszania, Coco Chanel: moda nie istnieje tylko
w sukienkach i tkaninach. Moda jest w niebie, na ulicach, moda ma związek z
ideami, stylem życia i tym, co się dzieje. Tak było również na
samej wystawie. Oprócz przykładów krawiectwa na najwyższym poziomie, godny
atencji był precyzyjnie odtworzony ubóstwiany przez Mademoiselle ogród, czy
sala pełna mistycznych totemów.
Można by pokusić się o
stwierdzenie: Chanel ad fontes, lecz byłoby to dość poważne nadużycie.
Ekspozycja, bowiem skupia się przede wszystkim na twórczej pracy projektantki.
Można więc było zobaczyć zrekonstruowany macierzysty salon kapeluszy z 1913
roku, ale też prekursorskie kreacje haute couture. Pominięte zostały
natomiast kontrowersyjne aspekty z biografii kreatorki mody.
Blog to rzecz do bólu
autorska. Przepełniona subiektywizmem i epatująca stronniczością. Dlatego też
osobiste opinie są w nim wręcz pożądanie. Co więc urzekło #barteksbazaar
w wystawie? Sensoryczność. Odbieranie wrażeń z wystawy za pomocą (prawie)
wszystkich zmysłów. Oddziaływanie na: wzrok - oczywiste, słuch - dźwięczność
animacji, dotyk - chociażby tkaniny, zapach - perfumy w kadziach. Poza tym -
pierwszorzędność organizacji przedsięwzięcia. Perfekcyjnie dopracowane sale
wystawowe, detalicznie oddany klimat Chanel - ekskluzywność i wykwintność w każdym
calu. I na końcu - sklep Saatchi Gallery z imponującymi pozycjami literatury
scricte modowej. Istny raj dla miłośników mody.
Nie ulega wątpliwości, że
Chanel to moda na najwyższym poziomie. Dom mody, wypełniając muzealne
przestrzenie nie zawiódł w żadnym calu. Otoczka, która towarzyszyła wydarzeniu,
zakrawała o luksus (w pozytywnym znaczeniu), elitarność i unikalność. Czy właśnie
nie o to chodzi paryskiemu imperium mody? Profesjonalizm i eksperiencja twórców
wydarzenia robi niesamowite wrażenie. Każdy, bez wyjątku, mógł poczuć się sui
generis. Nawet kuriozalnie długie kolejki, (mimo, że stanie w nich
jest narodową cechą Brytyjczyków) nie przeszkodziły w zatarciu fenomenalnego
wrażenia wystawy.
Warto wspomnieć także o
działaniach marketingowych twórców wystawy. Oprócz pompatycznej imprezy
inauguracyjnej, marka zadbała o przekaz w każdym możliwym kanale social media
(znakomite animacje na Instagramie, wpisujące się w atmosferę Londynu - zobacz tu). Co więcej, powstała oficjalna
aplikacja wystawy dostępna w AppStore, a nawet warsztaty tworzenia perfum
Chanel N°5. Wisienką na torcie może być fakt, że każdy odwiedzający, otrzymał
plakat i torbę z logo wystawy. Branding godny podziwu!
Jeśli chodzi o lokalizację,
to również nie jest ona przypadkowa. Londyn kolejny raz potwierdził swój status
międzynarodowej stolicy mody (tuż po gremialnie odwiedzanych wystawach

swoista Mekka dla współczesnych artystów. Wybór więc był dość oczywisty.

'Coco' Chanel zrewolucjonizowała przemysł modowy kilkakrotnie, stworzyła najsłynniejszy
dom mody na świecie, a do tego miała nietuzinkową osobowość. W tym przypadku

Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. And that is how it was during the show. Apart from the examples of tailoring at the highest level, precisely recreated idolised by Mademoiselle garden and the room full of mystical totems were remarkable.
It might be said: Chanel ad fontes, but it would be quite serious abuse. The exhibition, in fact focuses primarily on the creative work of the designer. So you could see the reconstructed hat boutique from 1913, but also pioneering haute couture creations. On the other hand, controversial aspects of the biography of fashion creator were omitted.
A blog is an authorial thing. Full of subjectivity and dazzling with bias. Therefore, personal opinions are there even desirable. What so captivated #barteksbazaar in the exhibition? Sensory aspect. There is no doubt that Chanel is a fashion at the highest level. Fashion house, filling the museum space did not disappoint in any way. The background, which accompanied the event, sounded like luxury (in a positive sense), elitism and uniqueness. Is that not the point Paris fashion empire? Professionalism and eksperience of the creators of the event impresses. Everyone, without exception, could feel sui generis. Even incredibly long queues, (even though standing in them is a national characteristic of the British) did not prevent in rubbing away the phenomenal experience of the exhibition.
Also worth mentioning are marketing activities of the creators of the exhibition. Apart from pompous launch event, the brand took care of the message in every possible social media channel (excellent animations on Instagram, matching an atmosphere of London - see here). Moreover, an official application of the exhibition is available in the AppStore, and even workshops to create Chanel N°5 fragrance. The cherry on the top may be the fact that each visitor received a poster and a bag with the logo of the exhibition. Admirable branding!
When it comes to location, it also is not accidental. London once again confirmed its status as an international capital of fashion (just after massively visited exhibitions of Alexander McQueen, and Christian Louboutin). Then, the Saatchi Gallery is a kind of Mecca for contemporary artists. So the choice was quite obvious.
To conclude, Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel revolutionised the fashion industry several times, created the most famous fashion house in the world, and had an outstanding personality. In this case, her poverbium seems to be unquestioned: I do not create fashion, I AM fashion.
